Chabad Project Pride - Centre Lifeline - How We Help
As our logo and name indicate, we offer a caring
lifeline to those who are in distress due to addiction. The
healing and recovery process begins when someone sends us an email or
telephones us, or drops by the Centre which is conveniently located near the
Snowdon métro.
An individual may be concerned about their own addictive behaviour, or that of a family member or loved one who is spiraling out of control because of drug abuse, drinking or gambling.
Our highly-specialized and compassionate team offers a First Line Crisis Intervention and Stabilization program for individuals suffering with addiction. We help people to deal with basic needs in order that they can stabilize their lives, including temporary housing, food, clothing, medical and legal help, and assistance to families.
Counselling and Placement Referral
After dealing with immediate crisis, initial assessment is provided so that an appropriate placement, when necessary, to a detox or rehab program suited to the client's specific needs can be made.
Chabad Project Pride also offers one-on-one counselling and daily group meetings that deal with topics such as: anger management, self-esteem, nutrition, budgeting and more.
Aftercare
We run a therapeutic outpatient program, facilitating a client's reintegration into society, as well as providing assistance in areas such as schooling, employment, housing and social reinsertion.
We focus on solutions, not problems.
